Birthdays
So I had a birthday this week. And I turned a number which currently makes me taste bile everytime I think of it. Maybe this time next year I will look back with more wisdom and acceptance of my advancing years and think
“Hey, I was young! I still had it going on…”
But presently I am only finding solace in cake.
And here’s one I made for the occasion. Basic chocolate cake with a blueberry jam and creme fraiche filling, topped with Betty Crockers ready made chocolate buttercream icing. Not forgetting the pink sparkly stuff on top.
Getting older – you can EAT ME!
